Areas of Focus

Anxiety or Fears

Living with anxiety can feel overwhelming and isolating, impacting your daily life, relationships, and overall well-being. Anxiety can manifest in many ways—whether through persistent worries, intrusive thoughts, physical symptoms like restlessness and tension, or difficulties in social situations. You may experience phobias, panic attacks, separation anxiety, generalized anxiety, or social anxiety, each bringing unique challenges that can make even everyday tasks seem daunting. I offer a supportive and non-judgmental space where we can work together to understand your triggers, develop coping strategies, and build resilience. Using evidence-based approaches such as mindfulness, cognitive strategies, EMDR, and narrative therapy, we can explore ways to reduce anxiety symptoms, foster a sense of control, and improve your quality of life. You don’t have to navigate this journey alone—I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Life Transitions

Life is full of transitions that can be both exciting and challenging. Whether you’re navigating a career change, relocating to a new country, coping with the loss of a loved one, adjusting to a new health diagnosis, stepping into parenthood, or facing other significant life shifts, I offer compassionate guidance and support. My goal is to help you adapt, build resilience, and find a sense of stability and empowerment through life’s evolving journey.

Trauma and PTSD

Trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can have a profound and lasting impact on both the mind and body, often resurfacing long after the traumatic event has occurred. You may experience flashbacks, nightmares, heightened anxiety, or a constant sense of fear or unease. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a highly effective therapy designed to help process and heal from traumatic memories. By working through these difficult experiences in a safe, guided way, EMDR can help you regain a sense of control and reduce the emotional intensity of the trauma. Healing is possible, and with the right support, you can begin to move forward.

Behavioural Issues

Behavioural challenges can arise in various stages of life, affecting our relationships, work, and overall well-being. Whether you’re struggling with patterns of procrastination, difficulty managing emotions, impulsive behaviours (such as those related to OCD) or navigating interpersonal conflicts, I provide a compassionate and non-judgmental space to explore these concerns. Together, we can identify underlying triggers, develop effective coping strategies, and foster positive behavioural changes that align with your goals and values.

Feeling Stuck

Feeling stuck is a common experience, but it doesn't have to be a permanent state. Whether you're facing career stagnation, struggling with unresolved relationship issues, struggling to balance the demands of family life, or facing unresolved conflicts in your relationship, these challenges can feel daunting. Also, financial difficulties, health concerns, or a lack of meaningful social connection might make you feel trapped. However, with the right support and strategies, you can overcome these obstacles and move towards a more fulfilling and purposeful life.

Depression

Depression is more than just feeling sad or going through a tough time—it can deeply impact your daily life, relationships, and sense of self. You might experience overwhelming fatigue, a lack of motivation, or a persistent sense of hopelessness. These feelings can make it hard to find joy or meaning in things that once mattered to you. It’s important to understand that depression is not a personal failure, and you don’t have to navigate it on your own. Therapy can offer a space to explore these feelings, identify their roots, and develop practical tools to help you move forward.
