About Me

I believe everyone deserves to live a fulfilling life, and I am committed to helping you achieve mental well-being and personal growth.
My Story
Born and raised in Italy, I worked for large, prestigious multinational corporations. Unfortunately, like many others, the toxicity of these environments led to me feeling completely burnt out. In 2007, I decided to prioritize my health and happiness by making a change. I moved to the UK, Australia, and then Canada. I immersed myself in diverse cultures while living and working in each country.
Over the years, I have collaborated with various organizations, consistently supporting individuals and communities. My passion for helping others and combating systemic oppression naturally led me to pursue a career in social work. Amongst my other work, I am the local ambassador for the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW) in the Halton Region and Area, furthering my dedication to advocacy and community support.
My Positionality
As a first-generation Canadian, I am keenly aware of the responsibilities and complexities of occupying Indigenous land. Additionally, I understand the advantages conferred by my whiteness and cisgender, heterosexual identity, while recognizing that having a partner and children who are people of color has enriched my understanding of diverse experiences and challenges.
I am proud to be a member of the Type 1 diabetes community and have firsthand experience supporting a family member with a chronic mental health challenge. These experiences have given me insight into living with both physical and mental disabilities. As a woman, I also understand the unique issues women face, while remaining cognizant of the complexities that intersect with gender, race, and other aspects of identity.
In my therapeutic practice, I am highly conscious of my positionality. I strive to utilize my diverse experiences to foster a compassionate and inclusive space where every client feels genuinely seen and understood.
