Frequently asked questions

My Commitment

As a non-Indigenous therapist, I approach this work with humility, respect, and a commitment to ongoing learning. I strive to provide trauma-informed, anti-oppressive care while recognizing that each person’s experiences are unique and may be shaped by culture, community, family, identity, systemic inequities, colonization, and intergenerational trauma.

I believe healing happens through relationships built on trust, safety, and collaboration. My role is not to tell you what your healing should look like, but to walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and evidence-based care. I recognize that you are the expert in your own life, and together we will work toward goals that are meaningful to you, at a pace that feels comfortable.

Vision

About the NIHB Program

The Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) Program helps eligible First Nations and Inuit individuals access professional mental health counselling.

As an approved NIHB provider, I can bill the program directly for eligible counselling services, reducing financial barriers to receiving care. If you have questions about your eligibility or how the process works, I am happy to provide guidance before your first appointment.
